Senior Last Koinonia Talent Show

Written by:

I can’t believe we’re already juniors! Since there won’t be any more Koinonia camps once we become seniors, my friends and I decided to participate in the talent show. We practiced constantly, but it was quite tough because none of us were good dancers. So, we had to be strategic to finish everything on time.

First, we each practiced our own parts individually and then shared our progress to get feedback (though I’m not sure if it was good advice or not ;;). Next, we worked on matching our movements and the main parts together. We’ve been best friends since freshman year, but this was the first time we struggled with each other. I mean, how could someone forget the dance the very next day after we practiced?! We ended up having the most serious talks ever with each other… all just for this performance.

But still, WHO ARE WE??  We made it! I’m not confident enough to say we were perfect, but we had so much fun on the stage and the preparation process of trying something new and accomplishing it together was truly precious.

Our school always says that the reason why we’re called Cornerstone is because we ‘connect people’. I wasn’t sure if that could actually happen before, but this was that day I realized how real those connection bondings are. The way we communicated,  taught each other , and supported one another , despite the challenges, made it an unforgettable experience for all of us.
