This contest was one that our school recommended to students. My two friends majoring in business, another friend, and I ,who are majoring in STEM, decided to collaborate and join as a group of four. It was also a great opportunity to visit Amazon’s office in Korea. What a lucky chance! By the way, my brother works at Amazon in New York on the marketing team, so it has always been my dream to visit the company someday since it’s one of the biggest companies in the world.

The contest was about coming up with innovative solutions to real-life problems, such as not knowing which parking spaces are available. We learned how Amazon’s marketing team builds strategies before developing or selling a product, and we applied the same process from planning to presentation. We then presented our ideas in front of Amazon employees and other contestants, aiming to convince them. It was more overwhelming than we expected, but it truly felt like we were working as interns at the company.

Also during lunchtime, we got to tour the office. Even the resting area was very creative. There was an AI-powered coffee pot that made coffee for employees instead of a regular vending machine! There was also a place for those who finished work early, and the top-floor lounge, with its massage chairs and stunning view, looked like the perfect workspace for anyone.
